Fried Lentils with Onion and Bacon
Side dish for 4 people:
1 can of lentils
125 gr of bacon
2 red onions
2 cloves of garlic
2 sprigs of thyme
salt and pepper
Heat a frying pan and fry the bacon in it.
In the meantime, cut the onions into half rings, finely chop the garlic and remove the thyme from the twigs. Add to the bacon and fry for about 5 minutes on low heat.
Drain the lentils, rinse well and drain. Add to the pan and turn up the heat.
Fry for about 3 minutes and finish with some pepper. Salt is not necessary because of the bacon.
