If you’re interested in contributing to Enliven, the following guidelines will be useful. Here is a short index:

  1. Introduction
  2. Submissions in general
  3. Fashion & beauty editorial
  4. Home & garden editorial

1.Introduction

Enliven was launched in October 2018 and is on the lookout for high-calibre photographers, stylists, journalists, editors, experts and personal brands who are interested in utilizing Enliven as their personal publishing platform.

The media market is rapidly changing. Yes, the industry will change a lot, but it will be in favor for talented freelance creatives.

Enliven helps you earn money from your editorial work at the same time as we help you build your brand. We provide a digital publishing platform that enables you to find your readers and monetize your creative work, far outside your home market. 70% of all revenue is shared with our contributors.

2.Submissions in general

All articles are reviewed by our editorial team prior to publishing, in order to ensure that they meet our readers' expectations and adhere to the guidelines set forth below.

What are we looking for?

  • Enliven offers creativity and storytelling aimed at a discerning audience. Our readers are primarily women (currently 65% of our readers), well-educated, with above average income. They typically live in urban areas and have a very active and social lifestyle.
  • We are interested in pitches in a variety of editorial formats including, but not limited to: feature articles, fashion features, columns, shorter or longer interviews, think pieces, list posts, reaction pieces and reviews.
  • Please note: Enliven also accepts previously published material, so long as it still feels fresh and relevant.
  • If you are a consumer brand with a project or editorial articles that you think our readers will appreciate, please contact our sales team to discuss possible collaborations.

What are we not looking for?

  • Enliven is not a platform to showcase your portfolio. There are other platforms (like Instagram, Behance, Squarespace and others) for that.
  • Stories not identifiable as “lifestyle” or that do not fit the current sections we cover (e.g. Home & Garden, Women’s Lifestyle, etc.) or stories that cover topics like current news, business, politics, and sports.
  • Submissions that fall within the categories of blogs, video blogging, Kickstarter projects, or promotional/marketing materials. Please make your story personal, but spare us stories on what you are wearing or what you had for lunch today.

Please send us clear, thoroughly outlined pitches on specific topics which you are passionate about and would like to contribute.

Apply and/or submit pitches

  • Please note that we may not be able to respond to your pitch immediately, but if your proposed article sounds like a good fit, we will do so within one week.
  • Once you’ve have been approved as an Enliven creative, you can use the Enliven platform to publish your stories and communicate with our editors.

For some editorials, we have specific requirements (as outlined below).
